On 3 November 2011 it was announced that Lauritz.com A/S had acquired Amio.dk and Selfmade.dk. Lauritz.com, which originates from Lauritz Christensen’s auctions, one of the oldest Danish auction houses, launched its online auctions in the spring 2000 and thus became the first Danish online auction. Today Lauritz.com has evolved to become Scandinavia’s leading online quality auction house, and as of 2004 also the largest Danish auction house. Lauritz.com has presence in Sweden, Belgium and Germany, besides Denmark.

Selfmade.dk is a relatively new Danish website launched in July 2011 and founded by Rasmus Warnke Nørregaard. Selfmade.dk is an online market place where private individuals can sell products that they have designed and produced themselves, and also a market place for vintage products.

Amio.dk was founded by Ann-Karina Horsmark and Jesper Horsmark as a website for buying and selling handmade products.

The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
