On 1 October 2011 Danish SAP consultancy firm Gavdi A/S will acquire Invendium, a Danish company that delivers solutions and consultancy based on a SAP Net Weaver portal and Java web-development based on the SAP Net Weaver application server. According to the press release at Invendium’s website, the transaction takes place as a merger between Invendium and Gavdi which according to Søren Koppelhus, the CEO of the Gavdi Group, serves to strengthen the combined position and possibility of the combined unit to deliver solutions and technology to customers who are basing their IT strategy on SAP.

According to an article in Computerworld Denmark, the reality, according to Mette Andreasen of Gavdi, is that Gavdi is taking over Invendium, but that the transaction is marketed as a merger.

The combined company will be named Gavdi Technology A/S, and the CEO of Gavdi Technology’s Danish office will be Steen H. Revsbech, who previously has been CEO of Invendium.
