As of 1 August 2011 I have been appointed as chairman of the board of Galleri Christina Wilson ApS in Copenhagen.

The gallery was founded by Christina Wilson for almost 15 years ago and is today considered among the very top Danish galleries within contemporary art. Christina, who is on the board of the Royal Danish Theatre and has been appointed to the government’s council for ethical issues, has a distinct reputation for discovering and developing some of the most interesting Danish modern artists. Furthermore, the gallery represents in Denmark some of the very finest international contemporary artists.

Admittedly, I am only a small-time art collector with sparse experience within the gallery business and the art world (during my time as a law student I operated an art gallery with my old high school friend, Martin Spang Olsen: Galleri MM). I look forward to applying some of my experience and ideas from the IT and knowledge industry to work within the ultimate intellectual property and experience economy; the art industry.

UPDATE: My appointment to the board has not as of 10 September 2011 been formalized. In the meantime I serve as legal counsel to the gallery.
