Innovation Center Denmark announced on 15 December 2011 the SCALE it Accelerator which is a 12 weeks’ programme designed to accelerate Danish companies with potential global growth. The programme will give up to ten promising Danish tech companies a smooth entrance to the hotspot of Silicon Valley by helping them to set up a presence in the US, create strategies for the US market and become investor-rated.
If a tech company is admitted to the programme, the entrance fee is DKK 100,000 to cover setting up a US office, mentoring, events, network, feedback and more.
The SCALE it Accelerator programme is organised and developed by Innovation Center Denmark, an office part of the Danish government setup in 2006 in Silicon Valley to promote Danish startups, and Yggdrasil.me, a Silicon Valley based consultancy founded by a Danish entrepreneur, Søren Rønne Terkelsen in 2011, among other things helping startups in Silicon Valley.
