Per Chr. Hauggard – my old friend from law school – is already high on the EU Commission ladder. He is now a member of the cabinet of Peter Mandelson, the European Commissioner for Trade. Per is responsible for China, Sectoral Trade Issues (other than aerospace), Trade Defence Instruments, Internal Market, Enterprise and Industry, Audio Visual/Information Society, Infringement Proceedings and Competition and State Aids. Whoaa!

He never lost his boyish sense of humor (much alike mine) and we always have a great time – as this August – when he visits Denmark with family.
