As can hopefully be deducted from my recent mblog postings, I am visiting Eastern Europe (sorry, Central Europa as this Economist article (subscription needed) insists) in weeks 5-7.
During these three weeks I will be visiting local IT industry organisations in the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Hungary, Bulgaria and Romania to conduct a workshop on EU regulation concerning the Information Society and eCommerce. A very hectic and ambitious schedule!
This is part of Electranet which is a project organised by EICTA with funds from the EU. And the idea is basically to teach representatives from the local IT industry organisations the fundamentals and in some case the more specific legal issues that will be relevant for their members once their countries join the EU.
